Happy Mew Year’s Day

Happy New Year! And, to all of our feline patients, Happy Mew Year. (The kitty new year is actually tomorrow, January 2nd, but we suspect Fluffy won’t care.) Actually, we also have a pretty good idea of what many of our furry companions will be up to during the next 12 months. Read on as a Bolingbrook, IL discusses Fluffy’s new year.

Resolutions For Kitties

If Fluffy could make a list of her goals, what do you think would be on it? Your furball may decide to work on her pounces this year, or purrfect that meow/run/jump/roll move she’s been working on. Or, she may decide to thoughtfully leave fur in spots she didn’t get to in 2019. Your kitty may also try to help you out more. For instance, she may run out in front of you to make you adjust your stride, thereby improving your balance. Or, she may lend a helping paw with chores like wrapping gifts, keeping laundry warm, and changing sheets.

Resolutions For You

That covers Fluffy’s resolutions, but what about yours? Why not set some goals that are related to your pet’s health or care? You could commit to playing with your cat every night, or getting her a new toy every week. Or, you may decide to be a bit better about cleaning the litterbox or keeping up with Fluffy’s veterinary appointments and/or parasite control.

Resolutions For You Inspired By Kitties

Are you making resolutions for 2020? Our feline pals actually can be quite inspiring. For instance, you could decide to take a hint from Fluffy, and get more sleep this year. Your pet may also be a good influence on your eating habits. We all know that kitties can be finicky. Eating healthy is always a great goal! Your furry pal could also inspire you to show your loved ones that you care. Kitties can be very affectionate little furballs! That said, not everything cats do would make a good resolution. We suspect that your loved ones won’t be particularly impressed if you start leaving dead mice on their porch, sleeping all day, or batting toy balls around in the middle of the night.

Please feel free to contact us, your local Bolingbrook, IL vet clinic, for all your pet’s veterinary care needs. We look forward to helping you keep your feline friend healthy in 2020 and beyond.
